Lesson plan

This course provides Civil Engineering diploma students with comprehensive knowledge of water supply engineering, which is essential for public health and sustainable development. The course covers sources of water, water demand, quality standards, treatment processes, and systems for collection, transmission, storage, and distribution of water in rural and urban areas of Bangladesh. It also introduces plumbing systems, water reservoirs, and the use of pipes and fittings. Through practical work, students gain hands-on experience in pipe fitting, basic plumbing operations, water quality testing, and field visits to water purification plants and deep tube wells. By completing this course, students will be able to apply water supply engineering principles effectively in residential, industrial, and community water supply projects.
