Rationale:
Advanced construction techniques are innovative methods and technologies have to use in the construction that are more efficient, sustainable and safer than traditional construction methods. Diploma in Construction and Civil Engineering holders have to use of advanced construction materials, advanced concreting methods, advanced construction methods, site developments, necessity and use of precast building components, industrial roof and flooring, techniques for repair and demolition, necessity of equipment in construction work, operation and maintenance of construction equipment, 3D printing, building information modeling, drones and prefabrication.

Learning Outcome (Theoretical):
1. Describe the uses of fibers and plastics as construction materials
2. Explain production and equipment for ready mix concrete
3. State equipment and machinery required for construction of multistoried building
4. Interpret detection procedure of the construction defects in site development
5. Describe industrial roof and flooring 6. Explain all advanced plants and equipment’s used in construction with sketch
7. Describe the necessity of different equipment in construction work 8. Describe strengthening and stiffening of beam and column.

Learning Outcome (Practical):
1. Observe a construction site
2. Perform concrete placement techniques for repair work and submit a report
3. Identify different construction equipment used in particular purpose and demonstrate each equipment
4. Prepare equipment required for different construction work
5. Prepare a routine maintenance schedule of different construction equipment
6. Perform strengthening and stiffening of beam and slab
7. Perform strengthening and stiffening column and footing
8. Select proper materials during construction in domain of advanced materials including fibers, artificial timbers
9. Perform formwork for column.
