Fabric Structure & Design (F.S.D)- Basics || OriginStudio

Fabric Structure & Design Shortly known as FSD is a very basic topics for a textile engineering student. As a beginner its really hard to understand, but we tried to make it easy and we believe you'll understand too. Here are the short steps of doing Weave plan, Drafting plan and Lifting plan:
1) Weave plan: i) Mark out suitable weave size. ii) In the fabric, take out one by one warp yarn and prepare the design where there is warp over weft put a cross in the graph paper iii) Find out the repeater and mark it with an arrow

2) Drafting plan: i) Keep in mind drafting plan is the plan of Heald frame so this plan is done horizontally though a weave plan is done vertically. Put the same warp design in the same head frame. Though same warps can be put in more than one Heald frame but their up down motion should be same.
3) Lifting plan: Mark lines as shown in the video and put the same design of the weave in a lifting section of the graph accordingly.
