This video deals with the full biography of Raja Ram Mohan Roy in Bengali with Life Struggle and Opponents ( রাজা রামমোহন রায় জীবনী : জীবন সংগ্রাম ও বিরোধী পক্ষ ). He is considered as the pioneer of Bengal Renaissance Movement that took place in the 19th century after the French Revolution (1789). He is the first modern Indian who gave birth to modern India in early British era. He was born on 22nd May in 1772 at Radhanagar Village in Hooghly District of the then India. His parents were Ramkanta Roy and Tarini Devi, who were heartily religious personalities. As Raja Ram Mohan Roy grew up, he gave up almost all the illogical religious customs and superstitious belief of Hinduism. Very quickly he faced strong opponents including his father and mother. After a long battle, he became successful in doing a massive change in Hinduism. Not only that, he also fought bravely against the traditional Islam and Christian religion. His best success is marked with his unbelievable battle for the banning of "Satidaho Protha" that took place in the year of 1829. He went to England in 1830 for the fulfilment of his mission i.e. banning "Satidaho Pratha" for ever from the soil of India. Meanwhile, he wrote many books in Bengali prose style, and for this contribution, he is called the pioneer of Bengali Prose. He also advocated for the right of Indian women in respect of the owner of the assets of deceased father. Finally he left his last breath at Bristol in England on 20th September, 1833.
