Bangladesh's Ready-made Garment (RMG) industry, which started four decades ago, has become its economic engine. Over 80 percent of Bangladesh's total export earnings are from RMG. During the fiscal year 2020-21, Bangladesh earned. $31.45 billion in RMG exports. This industry not only earns foreign exchange but also provides jobs to millions of people. In 2015, there were more than 4 million RMG workers in Bangladesh. In 2020, there will be more than 4.2 million workers, which includes more than 1.7 million men and 2.5 million women. In this video, we will explore the robust growth and challenges of the RMG industry in Bangladesh.
